REPOA is
currently seeking applications from interested individuals for the
position of; Human Resources (HR) and Administration Manager.
Job Summary:
Reporting to
the Director of Finance and Administration, the HR and Administration
Manager will be the head of section. The purpose of this position is to
formulate and implement Human Resources and Administration strategies to
ensure increased return on human capital investment, efficiency and
customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Broad Function:
Overseeing effective implementation of HR and administration functions in the company.
Key responsibilities
i. Develop appropriate HR strategy, policies, procedures and practices in line with organizational needs;
ii. Deliver
timely and effective solutions to HR issues, provide proactive support
to management team to manage REPOA’s human resources, engage, develop
and motivate staff to continuously improve morale, efficiency and
effectiveness;
iii. Advice Management on strategies and plans that will enable the
Institution to attract, motivate and retain the best quality staff at
all times;
iv. Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations
affecting human resources functions and ensure policies and regulations
are in compliance;
v. Work with the management team on maintaining the succession plan and
development of local staff to maximum potential through developing and
implementing a competency framework, job descriptions, personal
development plans and accountability;
vi. Coordinate recruitment and selection, interviewing, hiring, promotions, performance review and related HR functions;
vii. Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues;
viii. Maintain an optimum staff complement by ensuring effective manpower planning, recruitment, training and development;
ix. Develop and carry out periodic reviews of the organization
structure; job description, compensation structure and schemes of
service;
x. Ensuring a conducive working environment;
xi. Develop appropriate Administration strategy, policies and procedures
in line with organizational needs to deliver timely and effective
administration and logistics support in the organization;
xii. Interface with all key functional departments and units to
appreciate their key roles in order to provide required administrative
and logistics support services;
xiii. Ensure availability of office supplies and facilities
Minimum requirements:
• University
degree in Human Resources, Public Administration or related fields from
a recognized institution, together with outstanding leadership and
management skills. A master’s degree will be an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong negotiation and organization skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good leadership skills
• At least 7 years relevant experience, with 3 years at management level
• Demonstration of knowledge on employment and labour relations act requirements.
